Stewed apples with cinnamon

Ingredients
  

  • 600 g Red apple varieties such as Gala and Pink lady
  • 0.25 tsp Ground cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp Filtered water

Instructions
 

  • Peel and core the apples. Note: You can leave the apple peel on. it adds beneficial nutrients, The peel will stain the apple flesh.
  • Cut the apple into wedges or bite-size pieces.
  • Place the apple with the cinnamon and water into a saucepan,
  • Bring to a simmer than cover the pan with a lid and cook until apple is soft and translucent; about 10-15 minutes.
  • Spoon into bowls and serve warm or pop in the fridge to chill.
  • Store leftovers in the fridge.
